Kasbahs Tour

Kasbahs are originally intended for nomads, used to tents, and they wanted to create a stable construction, which is more resistant to weather and enemies. These fortified towers are built using natural materials such as earth and straw.

When several Kasbahs form a village, it is called "Ksar"

Telouet Kasbah

It is a Kasbah along the former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech. The Kasbah was the seat of the El Glaoui family's power, thus sometimes also called the Palace of Glaoui, and it was built in the 18th and 19th centuries. The palace can still be visited but it is steadily becoming more damaged and is slowly collapsing. In 2010, work was underway to restore the property

Tifoultout Kasbah

Tifoultoute Kasbah is a Kasbah in Ouarzazate Province, Morocco located 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) west of the city of Ouarzazate. This fortress belonged to the family of Thami El Glaoui, Pasha of Marrakech from 1912 to 1956.


Taourirt Kasbah

Taourirt Kasbah (Tighremt n Tawrirt in Berber Chleuh), symbol of the city, it is a national heritage. Adjoining the medina, it was built around the middle of the eighteenth century and belonged to Glaoui.


Amridil Kasbah

After driving 45 kilometers towards Erfoud, make a stop in Skoura. Here, in this quiet little village speckled with palm tree groves, you will find one Kasbah that stands out from the rest. The Amridil Kasbah, originally built in the 17th century, is one of Morocco’s most iconic living museums. It has withstood the test of time, making it the ideal setting for an insight into the ancient traditions of Kasbah life.
